This should be a page that contains general material on growing on.
Here are some of my ideas on topics to cover on this page. What is missing?
- General advice on moving from germination trays to larger containers.
- What containers should be used?
- Can pots and bags be re-used, and if so how should they be cleaned?
- What are the stages? For example should plants start in a shade house and later be moved outside?
- Diseases

Material for the species-specific pages
This page should contain general matters. For each species the details will vary, so on the species-specific pages it would be good if these questions could be addressed:
- At what stage should seedlings be moved from their initial germination container?
- What container should they be placed in?
- What type of compost?
- Is any special teatment required during potting? (e.g. I heard that manuka does not like its roots disturbed and it is better to grow initially as small plugs and move the entire plug)
- What treatment is required while they are growing on? e.g. special watering requirements, fertilisers?
- How long should plants be grown on?
- Photos!
