What is missing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Establishing a nursery (OK, this is such a big topic perhaps it should have its own page).<\/li><li>What is required for a germination place in a nursery: shelter. light, temperature etc.<\/li><li>General suggestions on seed trays and compost.<\/li><li>Labelling.<\/li><li>What time of year should seeds be planted?<\/li><li>Germination time, especially for slow germination plants.<\/li><li>General notes on watering and care for the germinating seeds.<\/li><li>Record keeping.<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">External Links<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We could add some links here \u2013 they should be to general matters on germination. Species-specific links should go on the  species-specific pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>DOC web page: Establish a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.doc.govt.nz\/get-involved\/run-a-project\/restoration-advice\/native-plant-restoration\/establish-a-community-nursery\/\">community nursery<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Material for the species-specific pages<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This page should contain general matters. For each species the details will vary, so on the species-specific pages it would be good if these questions could be addressed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Is the plant easy or difficult to germinate? What proportion of seeds might germinate?<\/li><li>How should they be sown? e.g. depth, compost type, density?<\/li><li>What trays or pots should be used?<\/li><li>What instructions relating to moisture levels, presence or absence of light, temperature etc.<\/li><li>When can they be sown?<\/li><li>Should the pots or trays be covered, either for light or moisture, and if so with what and for how long?<\/li><li>How long do they take to germinate, and over what time (if not all the same)?<\/li><li>Photos!
